The Founder

James Walsh was born in Zimbabwe and raised in South Africa. From a young age, his mother, a wildlife artist, dragged him and his brother off to South Africa's wild places, leaving him enthralled with the natural world.

He received a B.Bus.Sci from University of Cape Town, cut his teeth as a strategy consultant for Accenture and co-founded one of South Africa's first Solar PV companies. But his creative side and love for travel hi-jacked him and so he embarked on a career in visual storytelling.

For the last ten years he has been fortunate enough to film and photograph in 14 African countries, from Chad and Eritrea in the north to Lesotho, Mozambique and Namibia in the south.

Now James is using his passion and knowledge to share these beautiful, wild and enigmatic places with discerning travellers from round the world.

This is a photograph that James took of Fredrick Kerika Ole Sinoni that was featured on the cover of Nat Geo Traveller.
